Admission process

Enrollment steps

1. Register at: irk.uw.edu.pl/en-gb/

2. Complete your personal data and attach the required documents.

3. Select the chosen programme of study – Undergraduate Programme in International Relations

4. Pay the application fee.

5. Take part in the admission process.

6. If you have been qualified, submit the required documents.

7. You will receive the decision on admission to the programme.

Fee for the programme

For the academic year 2024/2025

Tuition fee for the first year of the programme EUR 3600*

Tuition fee for the second year of the programme EUR 3600

Tuition fee for the third year of the programme EUR 3600*

Total cost for the Programme: EUR 10 800

*The fee can be paid in two instalments – EUR 1800 /semester

Application fee

Amount of application fee for registration to one chosen field of studies as well as level and form of studies  is PLN 85. If the candidate is obliged to participate in written exam, oral exam or qualification interview, the amount of application fee is PLN 100. In case of candidates participating in exam or qualification interview conducted by the admission commissions, aiming only at checking knowledge of Polish or English language, the amount of application fee is PLN 85. Final amount of application fee depends on the number of chosen fields of studies.

The original of secondary school (maturity) certificate and transcript of grades, entitling to undertake university-level study in country in which the certificate / document was issued

A legalisation (authorisation) or apostille (if the document was issued by an institution operating in the educational system in a country that is a party to the Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, concluded in The Hague, 5 October 1961) of the original of secondary school (maturity) certificate and transcript of grades or the higher education diploma and transcript of grades [read more]

A personal questionnaire, which includes candidate’s photo, printed out from candidate’s individual registration account in the IRK system and signed by the candidate (available at the candidate’s individual registration account in section “Enrollment applications” under the chosen field of study accessible through the link “Documents and further steps”)

Original sworn translations into Polish language (or English language if a candidate undertakes studies provided in English) of legalised/signed apostille secondary school (maturity) certificate and transcript of grades (in case of other than sworn translation – translation legalized by the Polish consul in the country where the documents were issued)

An application for issuing electronic student’s id (ELS), which includes candidate’s photo, printed out from candidate’s individual registration account in the IRK system and signed by the candidate – in case of candidates not holding ELS (available at the candidate’s individual registration account in section “Enrollment applications” under the chosen field of study accessible through the link “Documents and further steps”)

document stating that the certificate / diploma entitles to undertake or continue university-level study in country in which the certificate / diploma was issued (with translation into the language of instruction of studies chosen by the candidate). The certificate of eligibility should be printed from the Kwalifikator system on the website of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. If a given certificate/ diploma is not included in the Kwalifikator system, the document should be issued by the educational authorities of the country of issue of the document or the school/ educational institution issuing the document. Please check if your diploma entitles you to undertake first-cycle/ long-cycle/second-cycle studies in Poland (not all countries are listed in the system) here

Please note!
Documents printed out from individual registration account at IRK system must be signed by the candidate.
In case of positive qualification, originals (or certified copies by notary public) of all required documents should be sent by post or delivered in person, in order to guarantee admission.

On arrival to Poland additional documents must be submitted:

A photocopy of visa or other document proving legalisation of stay in Poland – in case of foreigners staying in Poland
